Here is a picture of some typical Reconditioned #2 or Grade B pallet. Typical pallets have 7 boards on top and 5 boards on bottom. Notice the plugs or 2x4 pieces on the inside, this is what makes them #2 or B pallets. Weight capacity depends on rack or floor useage.

Standard Sizes - Reconditioned Pallets

Customers always ask me for a pricing on a standard pallet. While some industries have a standard pallet that they use, e.g. GMA , others don't. So when you talk about a standard pallet there are many to consider. But if you are looking to purchase a standard pallet to keep cost down here is a list to choose from.

  • 48 x 40
  • 48 x 42
  • 48 x 44
  • 48 x 48
  • 48 x 60
  • 44 x 44
  • 44 x 56
  • 42 x 42
  • 40 x 40
  • 36 x 36
  • 36 x 60

When you sway from the list above then the pallet has to be custom made.

Basic Measurement Tip

Here is drawing of various parts to a pallet. When measuring a stringer pallet always measure the stringer first followed by the board. ex. 48 x 40 or 48 by 40. This is crucial because their is a big difference between a 48x40 and a 40x48.
